It started at 4:00am at the Spokane International Airport.
We were at the dorm of the Calvary Chapel College Moscow by 1:00pm the next day.
We had a chance to see a bit of the city before going on to Volgograd.
Then the real work began. We met for breakfast and devotionals at 8:00am, then it was out on the street to invite the locals to the concerts in the evenings.
The concerts were very well attended. The people were cautious at first, but each day the response was better. Many wanted to know about this Jesus we served. Many chose to follow Christ.
We were even invited to some of the local colleges. We weren't allowed to actively evangelize, but if after the concerts the people wanted to know why we were there we could tell them.
There were some long days and long nights but through it all a close bond developed between all the members of the mission. Sunday mornings at Calvary will never be the same. My regret is that I never did this sooner.
I thought I would close this page with a shot of the concert hall we used and with this challange: The Lord is coming soon and the fields are ripe for harvest. As God's children it is our responsiblility to let the unsaved know that the end is near and they need to make a choice. If you can be involved in a mission trip, do it your life will be the richer for it. If you can't go, help to send those that will go. At the very least let those around you know that they need to choose which road they will follow; wide is the road that leads to death. This is very important. Consider this day who you will follow. Christ said; "Therefore go and make disciples of all the nations."
